About the artist

 

Allan McKenzie is a proud Gamilaroi/Wiradjuri man, indigenous artist and artefact maker. Advocate and protector of Country. Story-teller through art. 

He learnt his craft from his father in their home town of Griffith and over the past 27 years has constantly evolved and based his creativity around his connection to the spirituality of his ancestors and the people.

Allan looks for opportunities to give back to his community and his people by getting involved and helping to fund projects and programs that benefit indigenous people.
